Offered for sale by Hartzler Pianos are restored Great American Pianos: Steinway and Sons (www.steinway.com), Mason and Hamlin (www.masonhamlin.com), Bluthner, and Baldwin. These manufacturers represent the finest pianos in the world and when carefully restored the result is a fantastic instrument.
Pianos for sale are in 2 categories:
The first category is completely restored pianos, generally Steinway and Sons. These will have all new action parts, new belly, and new finish. They look and perform like a brand new piano, typically at half the cost of a new Steinway.
The second category reflects my belief that pianists don’t need to spend big money for a great piano. These partially restored pianos are a great value but still provide high performance that pianists need. The case may not be flawless and some of the vintage parts may be retained, but these are still a joy to play.
Thank you for the wonderful job you did with the church’s piano. It is simply amazing- the action, the tone, everything about it is outstanding. Everyone is delighted with the results of your expertise.
My sincere thanks Bryan!

1901 Steinway Model O
$55,350
#101755
Warm, refinished mahogany wood.
This grand piano is a rare find, with the original soundboard and new bridges.
All new action parts, with Steinway hammers.
The soundboard is original Steinway, but the bridges have new maple tops, so the downbearing on this piano is correct. With the restored downbearing, the piano sounds like it did when new.
Visit https://hartzlerpianos.com/piano-restoration/ for information on the rebuilding process, including bridges and downbearing.
Bluthner Model 10 grand piano
$41,000
5’5” total length
Manufactured 1986
A rare find, with the Bluthner Aliquot 4th string system.
This piano is pristine, with outstanding high polish finish, new hammers, ivory keytops, and new strings. The piano was rarely played so action parts are mint condition.
This piano is still manufactured today, with the same case styling, retailing for $110,000
The hallmark of the Bluthner piano is a 4th string on all treble notes. The 4th string is not struck by the hammers, it instead vibrates sympathetically, offering a sustain and tone color unmatched in a piano this size.
